Jennifer and Chris’s Rosemary Beach wedding was the epitome of why we absolutely love documenting weddings. Their wedding was filled with all of their favorite people for the entire weekend and consisted of great food, meaningful moments, bold colors, and a seriously fun dance party. As a Naples, Florida wedding photography and videography team, we love working with couples like Jennifer and Chris. They put so much thought into the details, but when it came time to party, everyone at this wedding knew how to have a good time.
From the bright spring-inspired florals to the saxophonist leading guests through the streets of Rosemary Beach, their wedding was absolutely unforgettable and incredibly fun. You could tell that they wanted every single person to have a good time, but they also cared about the little details that took them months to plan.

Jennifer and Chris’ Rosemary Beach Wedding Weekend
This Rosemary Beach wedding didn’t just last for one day. They made an entire weekend of it. They planned a whole welcome party on September 11th and then had their actual wedding on September 12th. Their wedding day included a ceremony at Rosemary Beach Town Hall and a reception on Rosemary Beach Lawn, with the couple and their wedding party getting ready at Airbnbs on Round Road.
The couple was intentional with her planning and wanted to give everyone time to arrive, settle in, and connect on Friday. Then, Saturday was all about celebrating and spending even more time with everyone they love most.

Jennifer planned the welcome party to be a relaxed gathering with tacos, margaritas, music, twinkle lights, s’mores on the beach, and sunset views. The rehearsal dinner was a little more intimate with about 40 of their closest friends and family and included time for a few speeches.
If you’ve been considering a Rosemary Beach wedding, this is an incredible way to make the most out of a destination wedding. Instead of asking guests to travel for one day, you can plan a weekend that gives everyone time to connect and have some fun. It also means you can spread out some of the social time and leave the actual wedding day to focus on the ceremony, photos, and dancing.

Jennifer’s Bright Colorful Rosemary Beach Florida Wedding
Jennifer knew exactly what she wanted in her wedding design. She wanted bright colors, thoughtful detail, stunning florals, and a venue that made everything about the wedding stand out. Her wedding color palette included pinks, oranges, greens, and blues that were well balanced by the clean setting of the wedding venue and coastal surroundings.
The colorful parasols incorporated the color palette into even more details. They coordinated with the wedding colors and clothes, and added another visual detail that was really fun to photograph.

The reception included a custom bar and dance floor, which made the wedding venue feel even more personal. Every design choice in this Rosemary Beach wedding contributed to the overall look, and you could tell just how much thought Jennifer and Chris put into planning their wedding.
This is something I really appreciate with wedding couples. I love when they take the time to think about how the design will look in photos and how their guests will feel during the wedding. Knowing just how much Jennifer poured into this wedding meant I knew how much these wedding photos would mean to her.

Jennifer was also very clear in expressing that she wanted editorial portraits, as well as candid moments. She wanted to capture dramatic veil photographs, vogue-type images, and stunning portraits on the beach. All while making sure there was plenty of time to party during the wedding.
Providing that clarity up front gave us a clear understanding that the detailed shots and the party shots would both be just as important for them.

A Rosemary Beach Town Hall Wedding
There is so much to love about a Rosemary Beach wedding, but one of our favorite parts about photographing a Rosemary Beach Florida wedding is how walkable the entire area is. Jennifer and Chirs had the wedding ceremony at Rosemary Beach Town Hall which was just a short walk from the rest of the wedding.
Rosemary beach is full of cool architectural style, charming streets, lots of greenery, and has easy access to the beach. Having all of this variety all within walking distance makes it easier to create a lot of variety in your wedding gallery, all without traveling.
With how intentional Jennifer is, you probably could’ve guessed that she even made the transition from the ceremony to the cocktail hour an event. A saxophonist led the wedding party down the main street of Rosemary Beach as everyone made their way to the reception lawn. It was such an iconic way to move guests from one part of the wedding to the next.

Planning Portraits as a Rosemary Beach Wedding Photographer
Both Jennifer and Chris specifically asked for a mix of candid photos, emotional moments, detailed shots, and fashion-inspired portraits. You could just feel the excitement about the dress and veil emanating from Jennifer. It only made sense to give her and the dress the dramatic images they deserved.

And before everyone headed to the reception, we made time for sunset portraits with the couple. That gave us a chance to capture those frameable portraits before they had to return back to the party.
When you’re planning your portraits at a Rosemary Beach wedding venue, it really helps to identify what your priorities are. If you’re dying to capture editorial portraits, beach shots, candid photos of your guests, tell your wedding photographer in South Florida early on. That gives them the chance to work with your South Florida wedding planner to build time into the timeline without pulling you away from the party for too long.

A few tips from an experience Southwest Florida photographer:
- Choose your photo priorities: Decide which locations and what kind of images matter the most to you and be sure to communicate that to your wedding photographer.
- Allow time for transitions: Moving locations with a wedding party or your guests can take time, even when the location you chose is walkable.
- Keep the guest experience in mind: Plan your photos around your wedding day timeline so you can still enjoy your own cocktail hour and spend time with all the people who came to celebrate your wedding.
- Leave room for candid moments: A detailed timeline can be very useful, but don’t be so stuck to the timeline that you don’t have room for the candid moments.

What Made This Rosemary Beach Wedding Unforgettable
It was clear from the beginning just how much the party and having fun genuinely mattered to Jennifer and Chris. They wanted to have a celebration where everyone could let loose, spend quality time together, and dance all night.
Their live band (Young Hearts Music) was the best choice for their Rosemary Beach wedding. They kept the dance floor packed and the energy from their friends and family was unlike anything we’ve ever photographed before.
As a Fort Myers, Florida photography and videography team, this is where we would highly recommend booking both for your wedding. Photographs definitely have their place in capturing your day, but wedding videography can capture all of the movement and sounds from the dance party that pictures can’t quite capture.

Finding the Right Rosemary Beach Wedding Photographer

Do you want editorial portraits and detailed photographs? Or are you more focused on candid shots? Is it important to you to have the energy of your guests captured? Photography and wedding videography preserve different parts of the experience. Photos capture individual frames, while a wedding film can include movement, voices, music, and the atmosphere of the celebration. Booking both can help you revisit more aspects of the day in the years to come.
